Make sure that a prospective company has a newer model of what you’re looking for and that it’s in perfect condition before you agree to rent.
2. Get insured.
Before you rent construction equipment for your team to use, you also need to make sure that you have the right insurance requirements. Workers can sustain very serious injuries with the use of heavy equipment, and they can cause serious property damage through improper use as well. It’s important to be prepared for the worst case scenarios.
3. Train the team.
After finding the right company and making sure that you’re adequately insured, you need to make sure that your team is well-trained to use it. Make sure that all of their licenses are valid and for those who don’t have one, either get them trained or make a list of people who aren’t allowed to use the equipment. Don’t budge on this. People who are unqualified should never use equipment they aren’t trained to. If they do, you’re risking injury and liability.
