Participants in the Houzz survey indicated that they 34% of their home’s floors were already covered in hardwood. Approximately 90% of the homeowners, however, stated that they had a preference for hardwood or tile floors in their kitchens. New flooring was at the top of the list for 71% of kitchen renovations, and it’s likely they will be choosing hardwood, tile, or laminate flooring.

Laminate flooring, which has a life-expectancy of 15 to 25 years, can work well throughout your house. Pet friendly laminate flooring is great in the kitchen, den, sun room, and other areas of your home, such as entryways. Furthermore, this type of flooring is so easy to keep clean and is cool on the feet during the warmer weather.

Many homeowners will choose to have different types of flooring throughout their house, while others may choose to have their entire homes covered in hardwood. In this way, they can choose to add accent and area rugs or hallway runners in those areas where they would like to have something soft beneath their feet.
