Your furnace is one of the most valuable utilities in your home. It helps keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer, and the chances are that your furnace runs on gas. But, did you know there are different types of furnaces?
The Most Common
The most common furnace you can find in a household is a gas furnace. Gas furnaces work by using natural gas from a pipeline that runs into your home.
This gas goes into your heating unit, hits an igniting burner, which in turn makes the gas hot. And with this final step, warm air is then sent through your house.
Oil Furnaces
These types of furnaces are most commonly found in the North-Western United States due to the colder temperatures. Oil furnaces use oil to turn into a heat source, the only downside is that these oil furnaces are not as good as gas furnaces when it comes to warming up homes.
Electric Furnaces
Electric furnaces are widely known as the best type of furnace for your home. Electrical furnaces use heating elements to provide warm air within the house. The main benefits also include a cheaper price tag and they are a lot less small than other furnaces.
